Chilton County, AL - On April 17th, 2025, Chilton County E911 received an urgent call regarding a violent robbery that occurred in rural Jemison. Upon arrival, deputies learned that the victim had been assaulted by several individuals known to him prior to the incident. These assailants forcibly took the victim's wallet and phone, leaving him with serious injuries. 

The victim was promptly transported to UAB Hospital, where he received medical attention and was treated for his injuries. Thankfully, he has since been released and is recovering. The swift response from local law enforcement, combined with the cooperation of the community, led to the successful identification and apprehension of the suspects shortly after the incident. They have been taken into custody and are facing charges of Robbery in the 1st degree and Assault in the 1st degree.

Sheriff John Shearon emphasized the importance of community vigilance and cooperation in keeping neighborhoods safe. "The safety of our community is our top priority," he stated. "We are committed to ensuring that justice is served and that our residents feel secure in their homes."

Authorities continue to investigate this incident and are urging anyone with additional information to come forward. The Chilton County Sheriff's Office is dedicated to maintaining public safety and encourages the community to report any suspicious activity.
