On December 23, 2024, at approximately 10:00 PM, deputies from the Chilton County Sheriff's Office were dispatched to a residence in the Five Points neighborhood concerning a shooting incident. Upon arrival, deputies discovered a female victim who had sustained at least one gunshot wound and unfortunately succumbed to her injuries.

As part of our ongoing investigation, Taylor Ryan Heaton of Jemison has been arrested and charged with murder. The case is currently under investigation, and we are committed to ensuring justice for the victim and her family.
