On Sunday June 26th Agents with the 17th Circuit Drug Task Force and Jemison Police Dept. conducted a traffic stop in Greene County on a vehicle that was traveling to Chilton County with 187lbs of Marijuana. The intended delivery was to a business in an undisclosed location in Chilton County.  Agents involved made the controlled delivery to the business which lead to the arrest of Kowosky Christian a Chilton County resident.  He is being charged with Trafficking Marijuana and was placed in the Chilton County Jail on a $15,000.00 bond.  There were three other males that were arrested in conjunction with the case and they were charged in Greene County by Agents with the 17th Circuit Drug Task Force.  Sheriff John Shearon says that our agency works hard to take these drugs off our streets and appreciates the cooperation from the 17th Circuit Drug Task Force in furthering our goals in fighting drugs.  Shearon would also like to thank Sheriff Joe Benison and the Greene County Sheriff’s Office, Chief Shane Fulmer and Jemison Police Dept. who also assisted in the case.  With all the departments working together we kept that 187 lbs of marijuana from hitting the streets of Chilton County. Sheriff Shearon said was very appreciative to all agencies involved.
